Xponential Fitness and Riser Fitness strike 127-unit deal

It’s always good to have a spotter at the gym, and two growing fitness brands feel like they have each other covered for at least the next five years.

Xponential Fitness, a franchisor of globally recognized health and wellness brands, announced this week that they’ve reached a six-territory agreement with Riser Fitness to continue growing the Club Pilates brand of accessible Pilates studios. The deal represents Xponential’s biggest multi-unit agreement ever and will see 127 new Club Pilates locations open over the next five years.

“Riser Fitness has been an exceptional franchisee group and operator for Club Pilates and Xponential Fitness, bringing Pilates to so many communities that can benefit from the practice, and contributing to the brand’s place as a leader in the booming Pilates industry,” said Mike Nuzzo, CEO of Xponential Fitness. “We are thrilled that Riser Fitness will continue to grow Club Pilates’ presence with this exciting deal, which is the largest in Xponential’s history.”

When it comes to number of studios, Club Pilates is already the biggest Pilates name around. This new agreement with Riser Fitness will help the brand scale rapidly to meet the growing demand for Pilates in California, Idaho, Minnesota, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington.

Founded in 2013 and backed by Fortress Investment Group, Riser Fitness operates more than 110 fitness studios across eight states and has been a key strategic partner for the Club Pilates brand for some time now. They are Xponential Fitness’ largest franchisee are the master franchisee for Club Pilates in Mexico City, with over 40 locations in development in that market, as well as for Australia.
