Tech repair franchise uBreakiFix by Asurion has expanded into another U.S. state.

uBreakiFix provides repair services for leading tech brands, including Samsung, Google, and Apple devices.

uBreakiFix said it currently has more than 700 locations in 48 states along with Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico. The brand’s heaviest concentrations are in Florida and California where it has more than 140 shops combined.

This new location is owned by Matt Troyer and Eric Atchley, who own several other uBreakiFix locations across the United States.

“Opening our first location in Rhode Island is an exciting milestone for our team,” said Troyer. “We’re focused on delivering dependable repairs and a straightforward experience, and we look forward to becoming a trusted resource for customers in the Providence community.”

uBreakiFix offers repairs for Samsung Galaxy smartphones, Google Pixel smartphones, Xbox game consoles, Microsoft Surface devices, and more major tech brands. Stores also have access to Apple genuine parts, tools, and manuals as part of Apple’s Independent Repair Provider network.

Although common fixes include cracked screens, battery issues, and liquid damage, repairs and support from the brand can also range from virus removal, data backup and transfer, and tune-ups for devices that have become sluggish.

“We’re proud to expand our franchise footprint and bring reliable, same-day tech repair to Warwick,” said Lisa Culp, president of uBreakiFix. “People depend on their devices for nearly every part of life, and when they stop working, it’s more than an inconvenience — it’s an interruption. We know the feeling, and we’re committed to delivering the right fix as quickly as possible so customers can reconnect to the things that matter to them.”

uBreakiFix joined global tech care company Asurion as an independent franchise in 2019. Asurion recently announced it was opening a new tech solutions center in the Philippines that is expected to create over 2,000 jobs over the next two years.

That’s not the only big move from Asurion this year. In March, Asurion expanded its repair program for eligible products purchased on Amazon. This month, uBreakiFix has also been busy with the opening of new locations in California and North Carolina.
