CMG Companies heads to the cleaners with new Tide Services agreement

The franchise operator has plans for 50 new Tide franchise locations.

CMG Companies, a multi-franchise operator, has signed a franchise agreement with Tide Services.

Tide Services is the franchisor of Tide Laundromat and Tide Cleaners brands. The new agreement calls for CMG Companies to open 50 units, specifically in Southwest metro markets. 

“With CMG’s proven track record in multi-unit franchise development, they are the ideal partner as we scale our footprint and redefine the laundry experience,” said Andy Gibson, CEO of Tide Services. “This agreement underscores our commitment to delivering efficient, high-quality laundry solutions to more communities and reinforces the strength of our franchise model.”

Based in Dallas, Texas, CMG operates more than 500 franchise locations including include quick-service restaurants, retail and hospitality units.

Tide Services operates over 200 sites nationwide through its Tide Cleaners and Tide Laundromat brands. The franchise offers a modern taken on the laundromat concept by providing 24-hour laundry drop-off and a mobile app.

The brand recently opened a new laundromat in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood. This marked the fourth Tide Laundromat in Chicago and is part a huge plan from US Laundry who signed a 51-unit agreement last year.  A fifth location is scheduled to open in Chicago’s Little Village neighborhood in May and more sites planned for later this year.

Tide Laundromats are designed to simplify laundry day with smart, auto-dispensing washers that use trusted P&G brands like Tide, Gain, and Downy. Users do not need bring detergent since the washing machines dose the perfect amount, with options for unscented and sensitive-skin formulas.
