Taziki’s Mediterranean Café has cooked up a major milestone with the opening of its 100th location.
The latest restaurant is located in the Las Colinas neighborhood of Irving, Texas and is slated to open on Nov. 19. This also marks Taziki’s fourth location in the greater Dallas-Forth Worth mega market.
A grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting ceremony is slated for the date, with Taziki’s now marking its 10th anniversary in the market. The Las Colinas opening will feature a $5 tasting menu for both dine-in and takeout orders.
As part of the celebration, Taziki’s is presenting a check to Elevate North Texas. The organization assists homeless youth and is the non-profit charity partner of Taziki’s. Other plans call for Taziki’s to match up to $1,000 in donations received during a private “Friends and Family” event held prior to the grand opening.
Representatives from Elevate North Texas and Taziki’s corporate representatives will be in attendance.
“We’re truly grateful for the incredible enthusiasm and support this community has shared with us over the past decade and we’re excited to welcome you to our beautiful new Las Colinas location,” said Benny Farzad, owner and operator of Taziki’s Dallas. “As we continue to expand, we’re confident that our fresh, modern Mediterranean dishes, paired with our passion for connecting with guests and giving back to the community will keep Taziki’s a beloved destination in Dallas.”
Taziki’s was founded in 1998 by Keith and Amy Richards following a trip to Greece where they were impressed by the food and culture.
Based in Birmingham, Alabama, Taziki’s portfolio of restaurants is two-thirds-owned by franchisee’s with the remaining one-third being corporate locations. The company has restaurants in 19 states as 2024 brought 12 openings and counting.
Las Colinas is a mixed-use planned community development that is centrally located between Dallas and Fort Worth along with the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and Dallas Love Field. Other locations in the area include the Old Town neighborhood in Dallas, Southlake, and Plano.
