Commercial sales surge in October at the specialty retail franchise.

Batteries Plus reported record commercial sales in October, including revenue across both its franchise and overall retail channels.
The Hartland, Wisconsin-based company said total commercial sales increased 23.7% in October on a year-over-year basis as franchise sales grew 24.4% during the same period. The specialty battery franchise noted that this is its highest monthly performance in company history.

In all of 2024, commercial sales have grown 16.1% through October with more than 20% growth year-over-year during 5 of the first 10 months. Batteries Plus also noted that it has experienced more than 20% year-over-year growth in system-wide commercial sales for five of the first 10 months of the year. Year-to-date, total commercial sales have grown by 16.1% through October. The top eight commercial sales months in franchise history have all occurred this year,

According to Batteries Plus, the company has more than 700 locations with opportunities for franchisees in all 50 U.S. states and Puerto Rico. Altogether, Batteries Plus said it has over 800 store locations in operation and development. Aside from batteries, the omnichannel retailer also sells specialty light bulbs and provides phone repair services.
Last month, Batteries Plus reported it had signed five new franchise owners during the period. As a result, the company said 16 new locations will open in Georgia, Massachusetts, Michigan, Ohio, and Texas.
Additionally, Batteries Plus recently revealed a new franchise agreement that will result in four new locations in the Boston metro market.
