A new franchise deal calls for the development of 10 new locations.

Saladworks revealed that it is making a big push in North Carolina.
The fast-casual salad franchise, which is also part of the WOWorks portfolio of brands, reported that it has reached a 10-unit development agreement in the state.
The agreement has been reached with Zack Mixon, a regional restaurateur and the CEO of Mixon Foods.
The franchise said that the first location, under the agreement, is expected to open in Greenville, N.C. in Spring of 2026. Additional locations are planned for the Greenville-New Bern-Washington, Raleigh-Durham (Fayetteville) and Wilmington markets.

Following a 20-year career as a commercial general contractor, in 2018 Mixon acquired King Chicken Drive-In along with Boss Hog’s Chicken & BBQ, both located in Washington, N.C. Mixon has since held a personal interest in healthy eating; a passion following his daughter facing a serious health scare, Saladworks said.
