The sandwich shop has signed agreements with franchisees in Virginia and Louisiana.

Potbelly Sandwich Works has announced a pair of moves that expands the food and beverage franchise brand’s presence in multiple markets.
The Potbelly Corporation, the parent company of Potbelly Sandwich Works, reported that it has signed and agreement with Premier Eats LLC, a multi-unit operator in the food service industry.
Under the terms of the shop development agreement, Premier Eats will bring eight Potbelly locations to Virginia Beach, Norfolk, and the surrounding South Hampton Roads area.
“We are excited to partner with Premier Eats LLC to introduce Potbelly to Norfolk and Virginia Beach,” said Maureen DiStefano, director of franchise development for Potbelly Sandwich Works. “This agreement highlights our commitment to growth, and we’re eager to collaborate with passionate, experienced multi-unit operators to expand our footprint in untapped markets across Virginia and beyond.”
Potbelly also said that there are still prime territories available in Virginia for “passionate franchise partners.”
In the meantime, business partners Tim Rozell and Adam Jackson signed an SDA with Pot Belly for development in the Lake Charles, Louisiana market. A previous agreement includes a commitment to open three Potbelly locations in Beaumont/Port Arthur, Texas markets.
“Lake Charles offers great potential for growth, and we’re excited to welcome Tim Rozell and Adam Jackson as franchise partners,” said Todd Owen, director of franchising of Potbelly Sandwich Works. “Their business expertise and commitment to excellence align perfectly with Potbelly’s mission to deliver great food and warm hospitality.”
Potbelly noted that this is part of its “plan to grow its presence in key markets through strong franchise partnerships.”
Based in Chicago and founded in 1977, Potbelly has more than 440 locations in the United States. This includes more than 90 franchised locations. The company bills itself as a “neighborhood sandwich concept.”
