Area franchisees plan to open 20 locations in the metro Texas market.

Sandwich shop Port of Subs revealed that it has inked a big franchise deal in Texas.
Through its latest expansion deal, Port of Subs plans to open 20 new locations across the Dallas-Fort Worth metro market. This includes Plano, Frisco, and other regional suburbs.
The Reno, Nevada-based company said the agreement was signed with Texas-based entrepreneurs Robert and Nikki La Grace. Port of Subs describes the duo as “a husband-and-wife team with deep ties to the region and a passion for community-building.”
“We’ve always been deeply rooted in the communities we live in. From our involvement in local schools to supporting small businesses, community impact is at the heart of everything we do,” said Robert La Grace. “As long time Port of Subs fans, we felt aligned with not only the product, but the brand’s mission and values.”
According to Port of Subs, Robert brings a wealth of operational and strategic insight to the table. Nikki spent years supporting executive leadership before stepping into a more hands-on role at their children’s school.
Originally from California, the La Graces were already fans of the Port of Subs brand and were drawn to its “community-centric approach” to operations and menu items, Port of Subs said.
The doors of the La Graces’ first Port of Subs unit is expected to open by the end of 2025.

Port of Subs was founded in Reno and has more than 140 locations, primarily in the western U.S. Port of Subs was acquired by Area 15 Ventures, LLC in 2023.The Port of Subs menu includes 18 classic subs in addition to other offerings.
