A portable storage franchise is poised for expansion.
Go Mini’s said it has “no plans to slow down” this year after launching 8 new locations last year. This includes openings in Cleveland Ohio; Dallas, Texas; Nashville, Tennessee; St. Louis, Missouri; and the New England market.
Citing a recent study from Technavio, Go Mini’s said the self storage and moving services market is estimated to grow to more than $58 million by 2028. For the date range of 2024 through 2028, that’s a compound annual growth rate of more than 9%, according to the study.
Founded in 2012, Go Mini’s said that it now has 114 sold franchises within the United States, Canada, and Mexico. New locations on the horizon for Go Mini’s includes Myrtle Beach, South Carolina along with franchise development expected in Harford, Connecticut; Phoenix; Arizona; Las Vegas, Nevada; San Diego, California; and additional expansion in the Dallas-Fort Worth market..

Other moves by Go Mini’s saw the promotion of Ron Wyche to senior vice president of operations. The company said the executive move is designed to improve operational support and franchise performance across its system. In regard to technology, the company said that it is implementing significant updates to GM1, its proprietary operating system, and CRM, improving customer engagement capabilities and operational workflows to enhance franchisee efficiency and success.
Additionally, Go Mini’s has relaunched a long-distance moving program, partnering with a new logistics provider to streamline container transport across state lines and establish optimized shipping lanes between major cities. The franchise said that it has enhanced its competitiveness in out-of-state moves, allowing the brand to better cater to high-demand locations.
