Boxer and mixed martial arts fighter Jake Paul has taken care of another piece of business prior to his fight against Mike Tyson.

Paul is slated to face former heavyweight world champion and boxing legend Tyson in Arlington, Texas in a fight scheduled for Nov. 15, which will also be broadcast live on Netflix.

But earlier this month, Paul also inked a deal with Dog Haus to become a 25-unit franchisee, beginning with four restaurants in Texas.

The agreement calls for Paul to open Dog Haus restaurants and sports bars in Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio before expanding to Florida and Puerto Rico, the later being Paul’s home. Additionally, the deal includes Paul participating in marketing leadership, providing input on strategy, and in-person appearances at select locations and special events.

Paul and Nakisa Bardarian will also join the Dog Haus Board of Directors, according to a statement issued by the company. Along with being Paul’s advisor, Barbarian the founder of BAVAFA Sports, co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions, former co-founder and CEO of Fertitta Capital, and former Chief Strategy Officer and Chef Financial Officer of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

“I’ve been a fan of Dog Haus for years and I’m fired up to push the limits and help take this amazing brand to a whole new level,” Paul said. “I’m jumping in their corner and excited to introduce their food and experience to everyone across the country!”

The sports bar franchise said it is known for its “chef-driven” hot dogs, sausages, burgers, fried chicken and plant-based offerings, along with a creative full bar program that has “earned a devoted following nationwide.”

“When a once-in-a-generation talent reaches out and says he wants to work with you, you take notice!” said Michael Montagano, CEO of Dog Haus. “Our relationship with Jake really has very little to do with his celebrity. It’s about his dynamic personality, relentless drive and the fact that he has revolutionized the way we communicate, all of which align perfectly with our brand’s ethos. So this is just the beginning. We’re excited to partner with Jake and Nakisa, proven game-changers and promotional geniuses, in taking Dog Haus to an unprecedented level.”

Dog Haus opened in its first location in Pasadena, California in 2010. Since, the company has grown to over 50 locations in 14 states with another 25-plus locations scheduled to open in 2025.

The company says its locations that also have a biergarten on site pull in an average volume of $1.7 million in sales annually.
