Phenix Salon Suites has reached a major growth milestone.
The salon suite franchise announced that after the opening of multiple locations this year, it now has 400 facilities with big expansion plans in the near future. Phenix Salon Suites is a “boutique salon suite concept” that offers luxury salon suites for independent salon professionals.
The 400th location was opened by David Eisenmann and Shannon Fela, longtime business partners and multi-unit franchisees, with a portfolio that includes locations in East Brunswick, Woodbridge, and Union, N.J.
In 2025, Phenix celebrated openings in Vancouver, Washington by Ralph Pryor; Bronx, N.Y. by Ramphe Gomez, East Harlem, N.Y. by Gabriel Abrams; Schererville, Indiana by Brian Johnson; Long Beach, California by Nathan and Stacy Mays; and Cedar Hill, Texas by Gregoire Demory.
“Interest in Phenix domestically has only elevated into 2025,” said Brian Kelley, president and CEO of Phenix Salon Suites. “The recent growth across new and existing markets paired with our robust pipeline of over 80 locations in development highlights the extensive demand for our concept.”
The franchise was originally founded in 2007 by beauty expert and celebrity hairstylist Gina Rivera, who has family roots in the industry dating back to 1929. The salon concept began franchising in 2012 and now has locations in 33 states, nearly doubling in size over the past 6 years.
According to Phenix Salon Suites, no salon experience is necessary. But the most successful franchisees in its system have working knowledge of commercial real estate, general business experience, and are well-capitalized with the ability to invest $300,000 or more, the company said. Phenix has been recognized 12 years in a row on Entrepreneur’s Franchise Top 500 list.
“Our suites offer salon and business professionals the opportunity to own and operate their own salon type of business without the hassle and expense of facility management and maintenance,” Kelley said.
More than 30 new locations are expected to open this year, including several international salons.
