Riyadh Completes Human Capacity Initiative: Largest Global Conference

The Human Capability Initiative (HCI) held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, marked a significant milestone in global collaboration to enhance human capabilities. With over 10,000 participants from 100 countries, the event resulted in 50 strategic partnerships across various sectors, including education and artificial intelligence.

One of the key announcements was the Saudi Ministry of Education’s educational visa program, aiming to attract more than 132,000 international students, researchers, and professors to Saudi Arabia. This initiative aligns with Vision 2030, the Kingdom’s development plan to attract global talent.

Moreover, the Ministry of Education joined the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) and pledged $38 million to improve education in low-income countries. The Curriculum Development Center will become a national autonomous body focusing on aligning curriculum development with international standards and emerging trends.

The event also saw the establishment of educational partnerships between Saudi Arabia and industry giants like Porsche, Hyundai, LinkedIn, and IE University. These partnerships aim to accelerate human capability development domestically and internationally through collaboration.

HCI featured sessions led by global leaders discussing critical topics such as sustainability skills, artificial intelligence’s impact on job automation, and the future of education. The Managing Director of the HCDP, Engineer Anas AlMudaifer, emphasized the importance of global collaboration in preparing individuals for the future.

Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 is driving transformative changes to create opportunities, open the kingdom to the world, and diversify the economy. The People Capability Initiative, part of Vision 2030, aims to empower decision-makers globally to invest in human capital, recognizing it as the most valuable resource.
