After two decades in business, one of America’s largest home services franchisors is making strategic leadership changes that they feel will help them take the next step forward in their growth journey.
This Monday, Home Franchise Concepts announced that they are celebrating their 20th birthday with the appointments of Megan Hoyt as vice president and general counsel and Josh Barker as chief development officer.
“These leadership additions strengthen our ability to grow thoughtfully and sustainably,” said Corey Benish, president and CEO of Home Franchise Concepts. “As we enter our next chapter, investing in experienced leaders is essential to delivering long-term value for our franchise owners, associates and customers.”
As VP and general counsel, Hoyt will oversee legal, regulatory, compliance, and governance. She previously served as deputy general counsel at HomeVesters of America and has also worked as a briefing attorney in the U.S. District Court system. That experience in both the franchise space and the courts makes her uniquely qualified to help Home Franchise Concepts grow in responsible, well-governed ways.
Barker brings nearly a decade in the franchise development space to Home Franchise Concepts. He most recently worked at Unleashed Brands as senior vice president of franchise recruitment and previously served as director of franchise development for Christian Brothers Automotive. He will apply his expertise planning and executing multi-level growth strategies to help Home Franchise Concepts develop thoughtfully across its entire portfolio.
The appointments follow a strong franchise development year for Home Franchise Concepts. 2025 saw them open 177 new territories and sell an additional 180 across their portfolio of ten home services brands. They currently offer opportunities to entrepreneurs through the Budget Blinds, AdvantaClean, Aussie Pet Mobile, Bath Tune-Up, Concrete Craft, Kitchen Tune-Up, Lightspeed Restoration, Premier Garage, The Tailored Closet, and Two Maids franchises.
Home Franchise Concepts’ oldest brand, Budget Blinds – which launched independently in 1992 – appeared in the Franchise 500 for the 31st consecutive year in 2025, with five other brands from their portfolio joining the list as well. This year, the company’s stated theme is “Grow. Better. Together.”
These growth-minded additions at Home Franchise Concepts are made possible by backing from JM Family Enterprises, a $24.7 billion company that represents the business legacy of Automotive Hall of Famer Jim Moran.
