Rainbow Robotics, in collaboration with Schaeffler and the Korea Electronics Technology Institute (KETI), has signed an MOU to co-develop AI-mobile dual-arm robots. The joint agreement will focus on developing AI-based mobile dual-arm robots and operation technologies for autonomous manufacturing. Shin Hee-Dong, President of KETI, highlighted the role of KETI’s technology for the development of AI-Mobile Dual-Arm Robot in this partnership.
The agreement will see Schaeffler develop and supply key components for mobile dual-arm robots, KETI supporting the application of AI technology for manufacturing processes, and Rainbow Robotics overseeing the production of the mobile dual-arm robot. Together, the three organizations will deploy jointly developed mobile dual-arm robots in production sites to promote autonomous manufacturing.
Rainbow Robotics is focusing on introducing robots with world-class quality, Korean-style service, and reasonable prices as part of its WKC strategy to become a leading robot platform specialist in the global market. Additionally, Schaeffler has been supplying innovative products and solutions in the field of motion technology, with a focus on expanding smart and digital automation solutions.
As part of the collaboration, Rainbow Robotics and KETI representatives visited Schaeffler’s facilities to further discuss the cooperation for robotics component development.
