Pine Ridge Vineyards Goes Solar with SolarCraft in Napa Wine Country

In exciting news from Novato, CA, Pine Ridge Vineyard has recently installed a new solar photovoltaic system featuring 280 high-efficiency panels. This system is expected to produce 179,433 kWh of clean energy annually, offsetting nearly 40% of the winery’s electricity consumption. Not only will this reduce their reliance on costly utility power sources, but it will also help the winery advance its sustainability goals.

Sheldon Parker, Senior Director of Operations for Crimson Wine Group, the parent company of Pine Ridge Vineyards, praised SolarCraft, the company behind the installation. He commended their professionalism, attention to detail, craftmanship, and ability to deliver on time and to budget, recommending them to others seeking solar options.

In addition to their commitment to utilizing green power, Pine Ridge Vineyards holds a Napa Green certification that reflects their dedication to being responsible land stewards. Their Green Team continually works on improving and updating their practices to preserve the region’s ecosystem.

The new solar panels are expected to offset 125 metric tons of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) annually. This is equivalent to removing over 321,000 miles driven by an average gasoline-powered passenger vehicle, saving 290 barrels of oil, or the carbon sequestered by 146 acres of trees in just one year.

SolarCraft, the company behind the solar installation, is proud to be 100% Employee-Owned and has been one of the largest green-tech employers in the North Bay for 40 years. They offer Clean Energy Solutions for homes and businesses in Marin, Sonoma, and Napa counties, including Solar Energy and Battery Energy Storage. With over 9,000 customers, their team of dedicated employee-owners has installed more clean energy systems than any other company in the North Bay.

Founded in 1978 by Gary Andrus, Pine Ridge Vineyards is located in the Stags Leap District of Napa Valley and is renowned for its Cabernet Sauvignon wines of distinctive power and elegance. The winery owns estate vineyards in five premier Napa Valley appellations and is committed to crafting wines that honor their exceptional origins with a unique expression.
