Pet Butler announced that there is a new owner for its franchise serving markets in Washington state.
Steven Chmielewski has taken ownership of the Pet Butler franchise in Tacoma, which also serves customers in Federal Way. According to Pet Butler, Chmielewski brings plenty of experience to the location, including his previous Telecom career, where he held leadership roles in customer service and business analysis.
Pet Butler provides pet waste removal and pet care services such as pet sitting, dog walking, and pet shuttles. The company was founded in 1988 and began franchising in 2015. The franchise system was acquired by Spring-Green Enterprises and relocated to Plainfield, Illinois in 2017.
Chmielewski and his wife have always been passionate about animals, Pet Butler said.
“We’re long-time dog lovers, and caring for pets has always been part of our life,” Chmielewski says. “That’s why this opportunity with Pet Butler felt like such a natural fit for me.”
James Young, president of Pet Butler, added, “We are excited to have the Chmielewski family acquiring this Washington market. We look forward to helping them achieve their goals and dreams.”
The pet franchise has 39 owners in 28 states.
Chmielewski says his primary goal is to make sure customers are taken care of. “We want the transition to be as seamless as possible, with no disruption in service. At the same time, I’m excited about growing the business and really integrating into the Greater Tacoma and Federal Way communities.”
Financial terms of the franchise acquisition were not disclosed by Pet Buter.
