In time for the holiday season, Wonder Franchises has acquired The Decor Group also known as Christmas Decor.

Christmas Decor aka The Decor Group has 200 franchisees.

Based in Irving, Texas, The Decor Group is a franchisor of exterior Christmas and holiday decorating services. Founded in 1996 by Blake Smith, the company generates about $75 million in sales annually through 200 franchisees in 240 territories.

The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Wonder Franchises was formed in 2023 for the purpose of acquiring emerging franchise brands and is a subsidiary of Tucker’s Farm. The latter was founded in 1994 as a small goat dairy farm and has since grown into a family of companies across industries and geographies.

The Decor Group’s brands include Christmas Decor in addition to Nite Time Decor and PermaLites365, which provide landscape and roofline lighting systems. The company services over 30,000 properties annually.

Blake Smith founded The Decor Group in 1996 with the company being lead by Smith as CEO and Brandon Stephens as president.

“We couldn’t be more excited to acquire Christmas Decor and to partner with Blake and Brandon. We look at many franchise systems and two things really stood out here: the strength of the underlying franchisee businesses and the quality of the leadership team,” said Adam Lewin, a partner on the private equity team at Tucker’s Farm and CEO of Wonder franchises. “We believe there’s a lot of opportunity not only to add franchisees to the system but to help existing franchisees continue to grow their businesses.”

Smith added, “We care deeply about our franchisees, and we feel like the folks at Wonder are the perfect fit for our vision for the business. We love their core values, and they really lived them throughout this process. We value their focus on franchise businesses, with their team bringing experience across several systems of varying sizes and industries.”

Boxwood Partners, LLC, a boutique investment bank based in Jupiter, Florida, with offices in Richmond, Virginia, acted as advisor to Wonder Franchises.

Generational Group, based in Dallas, Texas, is a mergers and acquisitions advisory firm for privately held businesses and assisted The Decor Group.

“Christmas Decor has established itself as a leader in the holiday decorating services industry, and its new partnership with Wonder is poised to drive significant growth for franchisees as homeowners continue to seek their services,” said Brian Alas, managing director at Boxwood.
