US real estate racket: alive & thriving

In recent years, homeowners in America have been battling against the high fees charged by real estate agents, which have been deemed unfair and anticompetitive. Industry analysts predict that real estate agents may find ways to work around these provisions, maintaining the status quo.

The Department of Justice (DoJ) has the power to intervene in this matter and ensure that homeowners are not unfairly burdened by high commissions. The DoJ has previously expressed concerns about the settlement’s effectiveness in addressing steering practices and may take further action to protect consumers. Homebuyers and sellers in America deserve transparency and a fair pricing structure when it comes to real estate transactions, and it is essential that regulatory bodies prioritize consumer interests in this matter.
