The franchise fitness and wellness space is growing rapidly, and one NYC-based studio is eyeing an East Coast expansion.
The Pack studio in Flatiron Chelsea, the unofficial fitness capital of New York City, announced this week that they have signed territory development agreements for Northern New Jersey and South Florida. These deals represent The Pack’s first such deals since beginning their franchising journey.
The planned expansion will add eight units in Hudson and Bergen Counties in New Jersey and ten in Miami and Palm Beach Counties in Florida. This will significantly increase The Pack’s reach beyond Manhattan and into two strategic markets where demand for workout classes and fitness services is high.
“We’re incredibly excited to bring The Pack to Northern New Jersey and South Florida, two markets that align perfectly with our vision for the brand,” said Andy Stenzler, Co-Founder of The Pack. “These initial territory deals represent an important step in our expansion, and we’re focused on partnering with operators who understand how to deliver a premium, high-energy experience in their communities.”
The Pack describes their mission as “to prepare every member for whatever battle lies ahead – physically, mentally, and spiritually.” Their approach includes self-defense oriented striking classes, sculpting strength and core classes, and sweat-generating cardio conditioning, all within a context of high-quality instruction and a supportive community. The methodology is designed to be highly rigorous but also highly approachable.
As the brand enters the franchise marketplace, The Pack currently offers three different formats to prospective franchise operators: Pack Lite, Pack Studio, and Pack Flagship. Pack Lite is a way to add The Pack’s proprietary classes and training stations to an existing gym or training studio with no lease requirements. Pack Studio is a standalone with around 45 training stations and a branded merchandise shop in a dedicated 3,000 square foot leased space. Pack Flagship includes 60 stations, enhanced retail offerings, and further amenities like locker rooms and showers, in a dedicated leased space of at least 5,000 square feet.
“The level of interest we’ve seen since launching franchising has been incredibly strong, and these first deals are just the beginning,” said Noah Neiman, Co-Founder of The Pack. “We’re looking forward to building out these territories and introducing The Pack’s unique training experience to new markets.”
The Pack is actively seeking qualified franchisees across the United States and international markets.
