Vermonters Can Now Jumpstart Their Career in Tech Sales with the New Sales Development Representative Bootcamp

Vermont, VT, January 31, 2023 — Vermonters looking to break into the fast-paced world of tech sales now have an exciting new opportunity to kickstart their career. The Community College of Vermont (CCV), in partnership with Upright Education, has launched a new Sales Development Representative (SDR) bootcamp to equip aspiring sales professionals with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in this high-demand field.

SDRs play a critical role in the tech industry, responsible for creating new business opportunities through outbound sales efforts. According to Glassdoor, the average starting salary for an SDR in the United States is $52,000 per year, making it an attractive career path for many individuals.

The Tech Sales bootcamp is set to commence on February 13 and will run for 8 weeks. What sets this program apart is its fully online delivery, providing students with the flexibility to learn at their own pace and convenience. The bootcamp curriculum will cover essential skills such as lead generation, prospecting, and training with HubSpot and Salesforce. Moreover, students will receive unlimited career support until they secure a new job, including resume building, networking opportunities, and interview coaching.

The launch of this new bootcamp builds upon the success of existing programs offered through the CCV/Upright partnership. Michael Keogh, CCV’s director of business engagement, highlighted the success of their technology bootcamps, with an impressive 93% job placement rate and accessibility for Vermonters across rural regions. Keogh emphasized that the new Tech Sales bootcamp underscores their commitment to expanding their offerings and opening up new avenues for Vermonters to pursue promising careers in the tech industry.

Benny Boas, CEO of Upright Education, emphasized the potential for rapid advancement and lucrative earnings that sales careers in technology offer. He also pointed out the current gap in qualified sales professionals in the tech industry and noted that this program aims to bridge that workforce gap.
