Go Mini’s franchisee grows again in N.C.

Go Mini’s said one of its most successful franchisees is expanding his business once again with a new opening.

The portable storage solutions franchise announced that Mark Nyman is opening a new location in Charlotte, North Carolina. Nyman is the largest Go-Mini’s multi-unit operator with his latest location offering containers for moving, storage, renovation, and restoration needs.

Go Minis LogoNyman also has operations in Raleigh, Fayetteville, Wilmington, and Winston-Salem, North Carolina, along with Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Texas. According to Go Mini’s, Nyman is continuing to pursue additional expansion opportunities.

According to Go Mini’s, the brand’s portable containers drew Nyman’s interest since the product could serve a wider customer base than traditional self-storage facilities. The mobile model allows storage containers to be delivered directly to a home, business, or job site as opposed to having to truck items to a stationary facility.

“Go Mini’s stood out to me because it solves a real problem for customers in a very practical way,” said Nyman. “People need storage during moves, renovations, business transitions, and unexpected life moments. Being able to bring the container directly to them makes the experience easier, and that convenience is what continues to drive demand in our markets.”

Go Mini’s said that Nyman and this team place emphasis on providing a “smooth customer experience from the first inquiry through delivery and pickup.”

“Mark is the kind of franchise owner who understands both the customer experience and the operational side of the business,” said Chris Walls, CEO and president of Go Mini’s. “He has been aggressive about growth, but he has also stayed focused on building strong teams, improving the process for customers and learning from other operators across the system. That is exactly the kind of leadership that helps strengthen the Go Mini’s brand.”

Nyman has a background in electrical engineering and industrial engineering. He also had a career in B2B food ingredient sales after his father purchased a bankrupt food processing plant. After entering the real estate industry, Nyman was introduced to the Go Mini’s concept.

The brand notes that in college markets, Nyman and his team have helped collect usable furniture, which is then donated back to those in need.

Founded in 2012, Go Mini’s has grown to more than a 100 outlets in the 42 states, Canada, and Mexico.
