Longevity is one of the classic signs of success, and this week, one sign company is reflecting on four decades of hard work, entrepreneurship, and customer satisfaction.
Signarama, a leading franchisor in the $49 billion global sign and graphics market, marked its 40th anniversary this Friday.
“Celebrating 40 years is about more than longevity, it’s about relevance, adaptability, and the strength of our franchise community around the world,” said A.J. Titus, President of Signarama.
A.J.’s father Ray founded Signarama in 1986 with support from his father Roy, a pioneer of the franchising space. The brand started franchising in 1987 and reached $1 million in annual sales for the first time in 1999.
Signarama used the celebratory occasion to acknowledge their strong 2025, continued growth, and the success of their SARCON 2026 event earlier this April. This year’s SARCON (short for “Signarama Convention”) was the highest attended get-together in the brand’s history, assembling a diverse group of Signarama franchisees and employees from around the world.
At SARCON, Signarama debuted their 40th anniversary documentary, which showcased the brand’s history, evolution, and ongoing entrepreneurial mission. The company also held its annual awards dinner and gala, presenting a range of awards to more than 20 franchisees and inducting five names into their Hall of Fame.
Among the awards, Signarama presented the first ever Ray Titus Legacy Award to Mike Ziccardi and Dawn Tiritter-Bent of the Huntington Station, NY location. The new award is named after the founder of Signarama and United Franchise Group and recognizes long-standing franchisees, past or present, who embody the brand’s values.
“SARCON this year was a powerful reflection of that strength,” A.J. Titus elaborated. “From record attendance to the level of engagement and innovation we saw, it reinforced that our greatest asset is our people. As we look ahead, our focus remains on fueling business growth for franchisees and strengthening the connection across our global network.”
Moving forward, Signarama is committed to continuing to grow franchisee engagement and support. They plan to release new tools throughout the year that will help operators strengthen performance and capitalize on market demand to drive additional revenue opportunities.
