The franchise’s new school has opened in Katy, Texas and is the second location for Big Blue in the Houston market. According to Big Blue, more than 250 units have been sold across the United States.

Based in Chicago, the company says its “accelerated nationwide expansion” illustrates its missing “to show kids they can do anything by unlocking their full potential in the water.” The overall goal of the franchise is to provide more than swim lessons, but also create big moments that families carry with them after leaving the pool.

“Reaching our 50th location is more than a number; it is a testament to our business model, our franchise owners, and the strength of our brand’s purpose,” said Brandon Bean, CEO of Big Blue Swim School. “Our growth is fueled by our incredible franchisees who share our mission, and we see this milestone as just the beginning of Big Blue’s national footprint.”

The curriculum at Big Blue has been developed by professional swimmers with program offering a mobile app for parents along with state-of-the-art swim facilities. In regard to franchisees, Big Blue said it offers a combination of operational support, real estate expertise, and consumer appeal.

“From the very beginning, Big Blue has been about more than just swim lessons. Our mission is about creating big moments in children’s lives, while also building a sustainable business model for our franchisees,” said Chris DeJong, founder and president of Big Blue Swim School. “This new Texas location demonstrates how our approach resonates with both families and entrepreneurs, and we are excited to continue this momentum across the country.”

With locations sold in Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, and Miami, the company also noted that it has identified additional growth markets for 2026, including Seattle, Long Island, and Columbus, where it continues to seek qualified franchise partners.
