West Coast hot chicken franchise moves East.

The Red Chickz, a California-based hot chicken franchise, has plans for the East Coast.
The Nashville hot chicken-style brand announced that it has reached a new franchise agreement in Maryland. Franchise operator Sam Patel and his sister, and business partner, Phalguni Patel are behind the deal, which calls for three units.
Sam Patel has over a decade of multi-unit, multi-market experience and began his franchise journey in 2015 with Tropical Smoothie Café, where he currently operates multiple stores in Maryland and Indiana. The franchisee’s portfolio includes three open locations in Maryland with a fourth underway, and 10 in Indiana,
“When I saw The Red Chickz on TikTok, I was intrigued by the energy, the branding, and product quality,” said Patel. “Then I tasted it in Carlsbad; and I knew it had the ‘it’ factor. The quality of the product blew me away… every item was memorable.”
The Red Chickz menu features Nashville Hot Chicken sandwiches available in six different spice levels, along with its Honey Butter Sandwich, French Toast Sandwich, Tacos, and Cauliflower options, and sides like cheese curds and corn ribs in addition to classic options. The brand has made its tagline, “The Crunchiest Hot Chicken.”
The brand has six locations open in Los Angeles, Culver City, Carlsbad, Fresno, and Woodland, California along with Cypress, Texas. An additional 45 locations are in development.
Signed franchise agreements are expected to result in new locations in California, Texas, New Jersey, North Carolina, and Oklahoma.
