New markets and new agreements set the stage for this year.

Pittsburgh-based The Dog Stop says it saw strong growth in 2024.
And the dog care franchise is prepared for even greater expansion efforts this year.
According to The Dog Stop, the company exceeded its franchise projections last year. This includes selling more than 40 franchises and opening 12 new locations.
New markets opened in 2024 include Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Tennessee, and Texas. In the cards for this year are 13 locations set to open in California, Florida, Ohio, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Oregon, and Virginia along with other markets.
During the course of the year, The Dog Stop also make tech improvements, which included the launch of a new point of sale system. The franchise also expanded its rewards program.

Founded in 2009 and franchising since 2013, The Dog Stop has 33 locations across 14 states. The franchise’s 2025 goals are double its openings from the previous year, resulting in 50 franchise deals for a total of 100 new units. Altogether, the company said there are more than 600 available territories.
Services provided by The Dog Stop include grooming, year-round boarding, individualized training, playtime-focused daycare, and a natural pet retail store.
