Steve Greenbaum, industry veteran, looks to help brand grow globally.

Poolwerx announced that it has appointed franchise leadership veteran, Steve Greenbaum, as a global executive director.
As part of the move, Poolwerx founder and CEO John O’Brien will move to a non-executive director role on the company’s board. O’Brien established PoolWerx in 1993 with a franchising initiative launched in 1995.
Greenbaum founded PostNet International Franchise Corporation, growing it to nearly 700 locations across 14 countries. He later served as CEO of Best Life Brands and now leads Full Contact Franchising. A former chairman of the International Franchise Association (IFA), Greenbaum spent the past nine months as a non-executive director at Poolwerx.
“This is a natural and exciting evolution,” O’Brien said. “Steve is a trusted friend and respected leader whose experience will be invaluable as we continue to grow globally. I remain deeply committed to our brand and look forward to supporting the team in this next chapter.”
Andrew Kidd will continue as CEO of Poolwerx USA, leading the North American business and working closely with Greenbaum to build on the brand’s momentum, the company said.
“Steve brings a rare mix of strategic vision and genuine care for people,” Kidd said. “His leadership will be a major asset as we continue to scale across the U.S. and globally.”
Poolwerx’s strategy is to help pool and spa owners enjoy a clean, healthy, and safe pool experience while offering both residential and commercial customers a variety of services. The company has a network of more than 650 service vehicles and 180 retail stores in the United States, Australia, and New Zealand.
Last year, the company added 22 franchise territories in the United States and has established a goal of reaching more than 300 territories within the next three years. The company recently announced a new franchise agreement in Texas.
