The breakfast franchise has reached same-store sales increases for 20 consecutive quarters.
Fast-growing breakfast franchise Eggs Up Grill has announced a key signing in Texas.
The restaurant brand said that it has entered into a five-unit development agreement with Texas-based franchise partners Louis and Lisa Jones. The move is expected to result in continued expansion in the Houston market.
“Eggs Up Grill stood out to us as a smart investment with a clear path for growth and scalability,” said Louis Jones. “The daytime-only model, brand support and culture made this a natural multi-unit decision for us. Houston’s continued growth and diverse communities create strong demand for neighborhood breakfast and lunch concepts like this, and we are excited to be part of the expansion.”
Founded in Pawleys Island South Carolina, Eggs Up Grill now has more than 100 locations with an additional 90 units in development and committed to open. The company also said that it is looking for further Texas expansion in the Dallas-Fort Worth, San Antonio, and central region of the state.
Regarding the five-unit agreement for Houston, Eggs Up said the Jones’ restaurant and finance backgrounds bring “a well-rounded, people-first approach that makes them a perfect fit for Eggs Up Grill’s rapidly expanding network.”
The Joneses first encountered and enjoyed the brand while visiting Myrtle Beach, and Louis has since made it a recurring stop on his annual golf trips. Eggs Up said.
“Louis and Lisa bring deep community values to this partnership, and their commitment reflects the strength of our development strategy in Houston and across Texas,” said Ricky Richardson, CEO of Eggs Up Grill. “We see tremendous opportunity in Houston and throughout the region as we work with multi-unit operators who can grow with the brand while offering guests great tasting food and beverages with the Eggs Up Grill Promise of Everything to Make You Smile.”
The brand finished last year with the opening of 18 new locations, which was the most in company history. Eggs Up Grill also reported that it achieved its 20th straight quarter of positive same-store sales, including a 7% increase for 2025 and more than a 27% rise in average unit volume since 2021.
