Growing dog care franchise Scenthound reported that it recently reached a milestone after completing over one million appointments.
The announcement arrives during October, which is also National Pet Wellness Month. According to Scenthound, the occasion is an ideal time to remind dog parents of the importance of integrating regular wellness care into their pets’ daily, weekly, and monthly routines.
“At Scenthound, our goal is to reshape the way that dog parents think about caring for their dogs by educating them and providing accessible care,” Jessica Vogel, chief brand officer at Scenthound, said in a press release issued by the company. “We are working hard to build a bridge between hygiene and health and set a new standard in dog wellness.”
Founded in 2015, Scenthound said one of its core company values is to advocate for the health and well-being of every dog in their care. This includes a wellness-based approach focusing on five core areas of care: skin, coat, ears, nails, and teeth aka S.C.E.N.T. reports.
Dogs who visit Scenthound receive a six-point wellness check at every appointment with dog owners educated on their dog’s overall wellness.
The Jupiter, Florida-based company recently expanded its Houndswell line of dog hygiene and wellness products. The franchise introduced Daily Dental Support; a dental health supplement developed to combat periodontal disease in dogs.
First launched in 2023, Houndswell was created by Scenthound to offer at-home care solutions that complement the services they provide. According to Scenthound, the portfolio of products is veterinarian-grade and addresses skin and coat care, ear health, and now dental hygiene.
Additionally, Scenthound has updated its growth plans and indicated that it is finalizing the details for over 290 franchised and corporate-owned locations across 25 states.
This is a dozen more locations in Scenthound’s growth strategy compared to what was previously reported last month.
Scenthound recently ranked on Inc. 5000’s 2024 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America for the fourth year in a row.
