The United States has over 60 million senior citizens, and one franchisor is expanding to meet their nutritional and dietary needs.
Heart to Home Meals USA announced this Tuesday the signing of its third franchise agreement in the United States. The development deal will bring the meal delivery service for senior citizens to the Somerset, New Jersey market.
“This agreement represents another exciting step forward as we expand into high-potential markets across the U.S., particularly here in the Northeast where we’ve already built a strong operational foundation,” said Chris Webb, President of Heart to Home Meals USA. “New Jersey is a natural next step for us, with nearly one in five residents age 54 or older. We’re continuing to partner with individuals who share our commitment to making a meaningful impact in their communities and support the growing demand for services that help seniors age in place.”
The company’s mission is to provide senior citizens with great-tasting nutritious meals that they can count on. By offering a flexible, reliable delivery service and more than 160 chef-crafted meal options, Heart to Home Meals empowers seniors to continue living independently.
Heart to Home Meals USA launched in Marlborough, MA in 2019, but the brand is built on several decades of history. Their sister brand, Wiltshire Farm Foods, has been delivering meals to seniors in the U.K. since 1991, and Heart to Home Meals Canada has been doing the same since 2007. All three companies are owned by the apetito group, which has been a leader in nutrition-focused care since 1958.
Somerset joins Chicagoland and Raleigh, NC as just the third franchise under the Heart to Home Meals USA banner, but the brand has their eyes on a continued national expansion.
The Somerset territory will benefit from Heart to Home Meals USA’s founding franchise incentive, which means their $40,000 franchise fee will immediately be reinvested in local marketing to drive name recognition and brand growth in the market. The program will be applied for all of the brand’s first ten U.S. franchisees, which means there are seven slots left.
Heart to Home Meals USA is actively seeking new franchisees in Florida, Texas, the Northeast, and other strategic regions.
“We’re seeing tremendous interest from prospective franchise partners, especially in markets where there’s both strong demand and alignment with our mission,” said Richard Peroe, Senior Director of Franchise Development. “Our presence in New England has demonstrated how impactful this model can be at the community level, and we’re excited to bring that same approach to New Jersey as we continue expanding across the country.”
