A cup of fresh Arabica bean coffee brewed by artificial intelligence might be coming to an airport or office near you sometime soon.
Evonova Group Inc. announced Friday the launch of Espretto, its autonomous coffee kiosks powered by an AI Robot Barista. Espretto kiosks are designed for environments with high foot traffic and people in need of coffee, like hospitals, transit centers, universities, and beyond.
“This isn’t a vending machine. It’s a fully autonomous barista – delivering precision, consistency, and personalization at scale,” said David Rahman, founder of Espretto. “We set out to build the most advanced freshly roasted coffee network in the world – and make it accessible to everybody.”
Each kiosk occupies just 2.5 square meters of space and requires no plumbing. The system can make a barista-quality cup of coffee in 50 seconds, including AI-printed latte art that can be customized by each user.
Espretto users don’t just get a tasty cup of coffee (or one of the alternative options the kiosk can make). They also save up to 30% compared to the price of that same cup of coffee at a premium coffee chain.
The company’s proprietary operating system, Espretto OS, manages the operation of the kiosk from end to end. Espretto OS controls the kiosk’s internal six-axis robot arm, confirms what’s going on using AI vision, and walks users through secure cashless payment before dispensing their coffee.
Espretto kiosks do not require any ongoing human staffing. They simply need to be refilled every 200 cups. Espretto OS also carries out regular cleaning cycles and automated diagnostics that ensure the machines continue to operate as designed.
For investors and potential franchisees, Espretto offers the opportunity to create steady revenue. They project that a single kiosk, selling 100 cups of coffee each day at a price of approximately $5.00 per cup can generate close to $185,000 yearly.
The first 55 Espretto kiosks will be rolled out between now and December 2026, with emphasis on corporate offices, transportation centers, universities, and hospitals. The company is actively seeking accredited investors and franchise partners to support initial deployment and scaling.
