A licensed veterinarian and entrepreneur is looking to expand the Scenthound brand.
Jamie Picket has signed a 20-unit agreement with Scenthound for the development of locations in the Raleigh, North Carolina and Richmond, Virginia markets. Picket is a former multi-unit Banfield Pet Hospital and Papa Johns franchisee.

Picket has been in the pet wellness industry for more than two decades and brings firsthand experience in business operations from running pet care and food franchises for 18 years, Scenthound said. The franchisee is preparing to open her first locations – known as Scenters – in the greater Richmond area.

Founded in 2015, Scenthound offers monthly hygiene services for affordable and accessible routine dog care. With a focus on pet health and hygiene, the brand’s services are elevated through technology, including its proprietary S.C.E.N.T. Check (Skin, Coat, Ears, Nails, and Teeth) detailing an assessment of each dog’s external well-being.
The brand reported that it has finalized plans for over 300 franchised and corporate-owned locations across 30 states.
