The flooring franchise sees a record August for franchise agreements.

Flooring franchise Floor Coverings International (FCI) witnessed a strong growth in recent months that is ahead of the company’s own expectations.
FCI, featuring mobile flooring showrooms, reported that it signed 15 franchise agreements in August and 30 agreements during its third quarter. Year-to-date, FCI has signed 70 franchise agreements and is closing in on a goal of 100 agreements by the end of the year.

Based in Atlanta, FCI currently has more than 250 locations throughout the United States and Canada. But the franchise said there is still plenty of opportunity for continued expansion.
Citing a report from research firm Statista, FCI notes that flooring industry is projected to see an annual growth rate of 2.74% through 2029. Globally, the floor covering market is expected to reach sales of $16.10 billion this year.
Flooring offered by the franchise ranges from wood, laminate, and tile to vinyl and carpet.
With total investment costs for two territories ranging from $257,000 to $467,000, FCI said that it offers an affordable and scalable opportunity for entrepreneurs. Additionally, as part of the home services industry, flooring offers a low-cost entry point with strong margins, FCI said.
According to FCI’s Franchise Disclosure Document, the top 50 percent of its operators generated $1.75 million in average revenue in 2024 with the top 10 percent operators grossing $3.3 million.
