Sparkle Grooming Co., fresh off a franchise deal in Nevada, is bringing its dog grooming business to another state.
Focused on wellness grooming, Sparkle has announced it will expand into Nevada with the addition of 12 new licenses. This latest plan is being led by Scott Rich, an existing regional developer for Sparkle in Georgia. The agreement also includes a new partners, Mike Klearman, who will co-develop Missouri territory.
Klearman is a seasoned franchise operator who brings extensive experience in business development. He spent two decades scaling the Massage Envy brand, where he was a multi-unit owner and Franchisee of the Year honoree, and The Joint Chiropractic, where he co-developed the Missouri region and helped grow it to 23 open locations.
“Partnering with Mike and adding Missouri to our Sparkle territory was a natural next step,” said Rich. “The brand is built on everything I look for: strong unit economics, a modern, repeatable model, and a leadership team that truly supports its operators. We’ve seen incredible traction in Georgia, and I’m excited to grow our pawprint and bring Sparkle’s wellness-first grooming to even more communities.”
Since April 2024, Sparkle has awarded 315 licenses across 17 states and continues to expand rapidly, the company said.
“We are thrilled to bring everything Sparkle has to offer to the pet parents of Missouri,” said Klearman. “People love their dogs like family, and Sparkle gives us the chance to build a business around that kind of love and trust. Having spent years in the franchise world, I know what to look for. Sparkle checks all the boxes… strong concept, simple model, proven systems, and a booming market. The future of this brand is very exciting.”
Last month, Sparkle reported a franchise agreement with the Chicago-based developer team of Thomas Fitzpatrick and Joel Accathara. The plan calls for the development of 13 locations in Nevada. Joining the development team is Ellen Fitzpatrick, Thomas’ sister.
In June, franchisees Stacy Hilton and Kumar Patel has signed a deal for development of 25 units in the Dallas, Texas market.
Founded in 2022 and based in Scottsdale, Arizona, Sparkle provides salon-style grooming with wellness-focused hygiene and neighborhood-level service.
