Tim Hortons expands into Austin market

Canadian coffee franchise Tim Hortons is expanding to the Austin area, with the first shop set to open in Round Rock by the end of the year. Tim Hortons is known for its coffee, other beverages, baked goods, and breakfast options, making it the perfect spot for everyone. The director of franchising, Ryan Ferranti, mentioned that the goal is to open at least 10 stores around Austin in the next five years. Construction is set to begin in June, and the shops will be franchises operated by individual business owners who buy the rights to open them.

To introduce Tim Hortons to Austinites, the coffee chain will be providing coffee at the Canada House during SXSW next week. This will give locals a taste of what’s to come when the shops officially open. The company is focused on finding the right partners for expansion, as having franchisees who are knowledgeable about and invested in the community is crucial. Currently, there are over 630 Tim Hortons stores in the U.S., with most located in states like New York, Ohio, and Michigan. Texas is a priority market for the company, and there are already four locations in the state – three in Houston and one in Katy.

Tim Hortons is excited to bring its signature coffee and delicious treats to the Austin area, catering to coffee lovers and foodies alike. With a focus on quality and community engagement, the company is looking forward to becoming a staple in the local coffee scene. Stay tuned for updates on the opening of the first Tim Hortons location in Round Rock and future expansion plans in the Austin area.
