The Nelons, a beloved family gospel group, tragically lost three members in a plane crash in Wyoming. Kelly Nelon Clark, her husband, Jason Clark, and their daughter, Amber Nelon Kistler, were on their way to a cruise when the crash occurred. Along with the Nelons, four others, including the pilot, lost their lives in the incident.
The National Transportation Safety Board is currently investigating the crash, which occurred near Recluse, Wyoming. Preliminary information indicates that the crash may have been caused by an autopilot issue during flight. The NTSB is sending a team to the crash site to further examine the plane and gather more information.
Among those killed in the crash were Amber’s husband, Nathan Kistler, Melodi Hodges, an assistant, and the pilot Larry Haynie and his wife, Melissa. Larry Haynie was the chairman of the Georgia Department of Corrections Board, and his impact on the state of Georgia will not be forgotten.
