SpeQtral, a leading quantum communications company, is proud to announce the addition of four distinguished experts to its Advisory Board. These experts bring years of experience in quantum cryptography, cybersecurity, and business transformation to the table. By leveraging their expertise, SpeQtral aims to strategically position itself as a global leader in quantum security solutions.
Prof. Artur Ekert, a celebrated pioneer in quantum cryptography, has been serving as an independent board member since February 2022 and now joins SpeQtral’s Advisory Board. With an illustrious career at the University of Oxford and the National University of Singapore, Ekert’s invention of the Ekert91 Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) protocol has solidified his reputation in the field. His role as the Founding Director of the Centre for Quantum Technologies and his distinguished honors from The Royal Society and the Singapore National Academy of Science make him an invaluable asset to the Advisory Board. Ekert’s deep understanding of quantum technologies and his extensive network of global experts will play a crucial role in advancing SpeQtral’s mission.
Carl Ward, a veteran with over 40 years of experience in driving business and digital transformation through advanced technologies, is another key addition to the Advisory Board. Ward’s previously held role as Global Chief Technologist for Accenture’s public sector business and his expertise in quantum technologies will greatly contribute to shaping SpeQtral’s customer engagement strategy.
Dr. Carlos Cid, the Director of Simula UiB in Norway and a Professor at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology, is a leading figure in the fields of cybersecurity and cryptography. For over two decades, he has been a prominent researcher in algebraic cryptanalysis, quantum-resistant cryptology, and secure computation. His extensive expertise and advice will be instrumental in addressing the cryptography and cybersecurity aspects of SpeQtral’s developments.
John Prisco, an accomplished executive with a wealth of knowledge in telecommunications, cybersecurity, and quantum physics, has also joined SpeQtral’s Advisory Board. With a track record in driving revenue growth and operational excellence, Prisco’s current role as President and CEO of Safe Quantum, Inc. reflects his dedication to advancing high-tech companies. His work as the Chairman of the QED-C Use Cases Technical Advisory Committee further demonstrates his thought leadership in areas such as Quantum Computing, Quantum Sensing, and Quantum Communications and Security.
