Joseph Murphy Joins Spencer Savings Bank as Vice President and Controller
Spencer Savings Bank is proud to announce the addition of Joseph Murphy as Vice President and Controller. In this role, Mr. Murphy will be responsible for leading the accounting team in financial reporting, accounting operations, budgeting, profitability management, and monitoring. He will also oversee accounting controls in accordance with accounting and regulatory standards.

Mr. Murphy brings with him a decade of experience in the Accounting and Finance industry. He has previously held leadership positions in public and mutual banks, with titles such as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Controller. He holds a BS in Business from Virginia Tech and is set to become the President of the Financial Managers Society (FMS) of NY/NJ in 2024.
