Sparkle new logoSparkle Grooming Co. has made big strides in recent months with the signing of multiple franchise deals.

The dog grooming franchise, with a wellness-focus, reached its latest deal with the Chicago-based developer team of Thomas Fitzpatrick and Joel Accathara. This latest plan calls for the development of 13 locations in Nevada. Joining the development team is Ellen Fitzpatrick, Thomas’ sister.

Since April 2024, Sparkle has awarded a total of 298 licenses across 17 states, and continues to expand rapidly. Earlier this month, Sparkle signed another agreement with Cori and Dan Cammarano for the development of 13 additional locations in Wisconsin.

In Nevada, Ellen looks to bring a background as a physician with a passion for caring for both two- and four-legged friends.

“Coming from a medical background, I really appreciate how Sparkle’s services are designed with a dog’s full well-being in mind,” said Ellen Fitzpatrick. “As a lifelong dog mama, I’m proud to be part of a company that’s raising the standard for pet care and making it easier for pet parents to keep their pups happy, healthy, and yes, sparkly.”

From a growth perspective, Accathara said the agreement gives the development team a chance to expand beyond the Midwest.

“Nevada gives us an opportunity to build in another great market outside of Chicago,” said Joel Accathara. “Adding Ellen to the group will accelerate our growth. She’s a professional with great knowledge and enthusiasm. We’re confident this team will thrive in Nevada.”

Based in Scottsdale Arizona and founded in 2022, Sparkle said it’s on a mission to elevate pet care by blending salon-style grooming with wellness-focused hygiene and neighborhood-level service.

“Nevada is experiencing high growth in population,” added Thomas Fitzpatrick. “I think Sparkle is perfectly positioned to meet the demand for all pet parents. Las Vegas is one of the most exciting cities in America, and we’re thrilled to add to that excitement with a great solution for dog grooming.”

On the technology front, Sparkle also recently partnered with Opus Training. The plans calls for Opus to help support and scale Sparkle’s training platform as the pet care brand continues to expand. The two companies said that by using Opus’s integrated training and daily execution tools, Sparkle will ensure that every salon — from the first location to the 100th and beyond — maintains the same high standard of personalized, wellness-focused dog grooming

“Whether you’re caring for pets or serving guests, the fundamentals are the same: consistent operations and exceptional customer experiences drive business success,” said Rachael Nemeth, CEO and Co-founder of Opus Training. “Sparkle Grooming Co. gets it — as they scale rapidly, their team needs the right knowledge at the right moment to deliver that premium level of care. That’s exactly what we built Opus to do.”
