The fresh, daily donut brand sees record growth.

Shipley Donuts reported that it reached benchmark achievements in 2025.
The brand, which describes itself as “the nation’s largest brand of fresh, handmade-daily donuts and kolaches,” said it witnessed its most successful year in its history. In 2025, Shipley Donuts opened 35 new shops. This marks a 46% increase over total openings for the previous year.
During the fourth quarter, Shipley opened 10 shops, including locations in Alabama, Florida, and Georgia. Shipley also reached new
franchise agreements during the quarter with deals signed for Missouri, New Mexico, and its first for Las Vegas.
“This past year was transformational for Shipley Donuts as we dramatically increased new shop openings in new and existing markets and accelerated deals to reach even further across the U.S.,” said Flynn Dekker, CEO of Shipley Donuts. “We also continued to innovate with our menu, technology and guest experience. From launching AI-powered online ordering to rolling out our Hot Glaze Guarantee systemwide, we’ve proven that our commitment to fresh, handmade-daily quality and strategic innovation resonates with guests and franchisees alike.”
Based in Houston, Texas, Shipley Donuts operates more than 385 franchise and company-owned locations in 13 states. The company was founded in 1936.
Additional moves from Shipley include launching a refreshed website last year. The new version features an AI-powered assistant that creates personalized order recommendations based on flavor preferences, budget parameters, event type and group size.
Along with new menu offerings and a $4 breakfast bundle, Shipley also fired up a “Hot Glaze Guarantee” in the fourth quarter. Under terms of the guarantee, customers can enjoy hot glazed donuts, made fresh daily, in each Shipley shop until at least 10 a.m.
The company added to its leadership team as well with Bill Leibengood named as chief operating officer during the final quarter of the year. Leibengood brings restaurant executive experience from Houlihan’s, Wingstop, and Applebee’s.
