China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) plays a crucial role in promoting economic cooperation among SCO members, as seen in projects like the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway.
This railway project, a flagship initiative under the BRI, serves as a pivotal land route connecting China with Central Asian countries. The initiative, which is supported by SCO member states, emphasizes the importance of strengthening a multilateral trading system to foster an open global economy and promote regional land and sea transport corridors.
With the SCO covering a significant portion of the Eurasian continent and representing almost half of the world’s population, the organization provides a strategic platform for enhancing connectivity and cooperation among member states.
