SANY Group’s 408P electric truck mixer has achieved a milestone by passing the updated EU General Safety Regulation (GSR) benchmark. This innovative vehicle is equipped with an Advanced Driver-Assistance System (ADAS) developed by Haistar, making it the first Chinese electric vehicle to receive the latest Whole Vehicle Type-Approval (SVTA) certification.
The certification process was overseen by TÜV Rheinland, a leading technical service provider, ensuring that the SANY 408P electric truck mixer meets all EU regulations and safety standards. In addition to passing the five GSR-ADAS functions required by the EU, including Moving Off Information System (MOIS), Blind Spot Information System (BSIS), Reversing Information System (REIS), Intelligent Speed Assist (ISA), and Driver Drowsiness & Alertness Warning (DDAW), the 408P has proven to be safe, reliable, and highly adaptable.
With the EU Roadworthiness Regulation mandating the inclusion of appropriate ADAS functions in commercial vehicles, the SANY 408P electric truck mixer has successfully met all required safety criteria. The Intelligent Speed Assist (ISA) system, designed to warn drivers of speeding, has been rigorously tested and proven to be accurate in various driving scenarios. The Driver Drowsiness & Alertness Warning (DDAW) system monitors drivers’ physiological responses to detect fatigue and provides timely warnings for increased safety.
In addition to the ISA and DDAW systems, the 408P also features advanced technologies such as the Moving Off Information System (MOIS), Blind Spot Information System (BSIS), and Reversing Information System (REIS) to enhance overall safety and driver awareness. These systems have been thoroughly tested in real-world conditions, ensuring their effectiveness in preventing collisions and promoting road safety.
