Less than 15 franchise partners are onboard for national expansion.

PopUp Bagels revealed that it has quickly reached a company milestone.
The bagel franchise announced that it has now signed 300 new franchise locations. PopUp Bagels was founded as a boutique bagel franchise in Westport, Connecticut in 2020.
“When we started baking bagels in my backyard, I never imagined we’d turn it into a national brand,” said Adam Goldberg, founder of PopUp Bagels. “We weren’t trying to start a business – we just wanted to make something great and share it with friends. The idea of hitting 300 stores is surreal, but the real achievement is building a company that still feels like that: small, connected, and full of energy.”
PopUp Bagels currently has seven locations in New York, four in Connecticut, and three in Massachusetts. Other states in the fold for upcoming expansion include Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, California, and Maine. By the end of 2027, PopUp Bagels said it has a goal of reaching 100 open locations.
Of note is that PopUp Bagels has reached the 300 franchise location mark with less than 15 franchise partners. The company said its strategy of “working only with highly vetted, best-in-class operators – has allowed the company to grow with purpose and precision.”

Bartlett joined the company less than a year ago with PopUp Bagels announcing national expansion plans last November. Prior to joining PopUp Bagels, Bartlett served as chief brand officer at Moe’s Southwest Grill and held leadership roles at Schlotzsky’s and Southern Proper Hospitality.
