PASSi recently celebrated Women’s History Month with a special event at their Evergreen Center in Philadelphia. The event, which featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new PASSi Primary Care program, honored women who have made significant contributions to society.
The event included a presentation of the Governor’s Proclamation of Women’s History Month in PA and a special recognition of Speaker of the PA House, Representative Joanna McClinton. PASSi’s CEO, Ken Yang, highlighted the legacy of PASSi Founder Ms. Im Ja Choi and her vision for the organization.
Cigna Healthcare, a longtime partner of PASSi, was the Title Sponsor of the event and helped make it possible. AARP PA, another community partner, expressed their support for PASSi and their mission of promoting the well-being of diverse older adult communities.
PASSi is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides culturally-attuned services for Asian seniors and other older adults with limited English proficiency in Southeastern PA. They offer homecare and adult daycare services to approximately 800 low-income seniors each year, as well as training programs for future home health aides and certified nursing assistants through the Penn Asian Vocational Institute (PAVI).
