Paris Baguette, the bakery cafe franchise, has reached a major milestone in North America.
The franchise announced that with its latest opening, the cafe has reached 250 locations in North America.
Located in Frederick, Maryland, the new restaurant is led by Waseem Mohamad. The franchisee is a former general contractor for Paris Baguette with years of experience building multiple cafes. Mohamad is joined by business partners Prant Kumar, and Prince Kumar.
“This milestone reflects the shared passion and dedication of our entire Paris Baguette family, from our franchise owners and café teams to our loyal guests,” said CEO Darren Tipton. “Reaching our 250th café underscores our commitment to delivering expertly crafted baked and brewed goods, while creating welcoming spaces that bring joy to every neighborhood we serve. Equally important, we celebrate the remarkable franchise owners and teams who embody our values, fostering entrepreneurship, building strong community connections, and sharing our passion for exceptional experiences with every guest.”
Paris Baguette said that it has awarded more than 170 franchise agreements year to date and has nearly 450 locations in development. This includes an additional 50 units that are expected to open by the end of 2025. A long range goal is to reach 1,000 locations by 2030, the franchise said.
“I’ve spent the past three years helping to build nearly 20 Paris Baguette locations, and I’ve had the privilege of seeing the 150th and 200th cafés open,” said Waseem. “It’s incredibly exciting that the 250th location is now one we can call our own. I partnered with Prant and Prince so we could open and operate a café together. At the heart of it, it’s all about the product — we love it. Our families have been longtime guests, and now we get to share that same experience with our community.”
The franchise has a loyal fan base as Paris Baguette revealed it has reached an additional milestone. PB Rewards, the brand’s loyalty program, reached 1 million enrolled members at the end the second quarter. Paris Baguette also reported 18 consecutive quarter of positive comp store sales growth along with 17 straight quarters of positive comp traffic.
Key markets on the horizon for further expansion include Massachusetts, Florida, Illinois, and Ohio, and Canadian markets such as Quebec, Vancouver, and Toronto.
