Morgan Rees, a project technical analyst at Atrium Health in Charlotte, North Carolina, has been named Woman of the Month for April 2024 by P.O.W.E.R. (Professional Organization of Women of Excellence Recognized) for her outstanding work in publishing and her inspirational journey of overcoming personal challenges.
Rees is not only an author and life speaker, but also the host of the popular podcast “Good Morning Black People,” where she engages in empowering and enlightening conversations with celebrities, influencers, and spiritual leaders. Drawing from her own experiences of abuse, violence, and rape, she shares her personal stories with authenticity, humor, and openness to connect with her audience and inspire positive change.
Following her own healing journey, Rees wrote her book “Endurance is Victory” 12 years ago, which led to her career as a life speaker and author. Through her presentations, she brings a unique blend of vulnerability, authenticity, and lightheartedness, creating an atmosphere of trust and openness that allows individuals to break through their own barriers and embrace positive change.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Rees is a survivor who credits her faith for helping her overcome challenging obstacles. She is married with three children and three grandchildren and hopes to turn her book into a movie or series in the future, as well as travel the world sharing her message of healing, peace, endurance, and victory.
