'Miraculous' Franchise Set for Revamped Designs, New Characters

‘Miraculous’ Franchise to Feature Updated Designs and Fresh Characters

Miraculous, the popular Paris-set animation franchise, is celebrating its 10-year anniversary with exciting new expansions. Under the leadership of CEO Andy Yeatman, the franchise will introduce two new characters, Lady Dragon and Stellar Force, along with new series in different cities like Tokyo and Rio. The franchise, created by Thomas Astruc, Nathanaël Bronn, and Jeremy Saw, has already achieved significant success with five seasons of the TV show, three TV movies, and the feature film “Miraculous, The Movie.”

Yeatman shared that the team behind Miraculous is focused on expanding into new areas and introducing fresh characters with unique powers and storylines. The new protagonists will be relatable teenagers with superpowers who use their abilities to help their friends and the world. The upcoming fourth TV movie set in Tokyo is scheduled for release by the end of next year, with plans for a second feature film that will partially take place in Paris.

Additionally, the series will undergo a visual transformation in seasons six and seven as they will be produced using Unreal Engine, a real-time 3D creation tool. The character designs will receive a makeover in the upcoming seasons. Yeatman emphasized the success of Miraculous with its character-driven storytelling, appealing to a wide range of demographics across Disney, Netflix, YouTube, and Roblox, making it a rare hit across different platforms.

To further expand the brand, Yeatman has brought in licensing expert Roz Nowicki as the global head of consumer products. With over 400 licensees worldwide and retail sales exceeding $1.5 billion, Miraculous Corp is poised for continued success under the joint venture between Mediawan and Zag. The future of Miraculous looks bright with new characters, locations, and visual enhancements in the pipeline.

Overall, the 10-year celebration of Miraculous promises exciting developments for fans as the franchise expands into new territories and introduces fresh characters. With a strong focus on character-driven storytelling and visual updates, Miraculous continues to captivate audiences of all ages across multiple platforms, solidifying its status as a beloved global brand.
