Maybank extends partnership with FC Barcelona until 2027

FC Barcelona and Maybank have announced an extension of their partnership deal until 2027, solidifying Maybank’s position as Barça’s Official Bank in Malaysia and Singapore. This renewed collaboration is set to bring exclusive offers and experiences to fans of both brands in the region.

Maybank will continue to market Maybank FC Barcelona Cards, including credit and debit cards, to strengthen its presence in the card markets in Malaysia and Singapore. The bank will also offer exclusive campaigns to its customers, such as the Spend & Score program, which has enabled clients to travel to Barcelona and meet Barça Legends in the past. Additionally, from now until September 15th, 2024, Maybank is launching a new campaign that offers Malaysian FC Barcelona fans a chance to win an exclusive experience in Barcelona.

With over 14 million cardmembers in Malaysia and Singapore, including over 600,000 Maybank FC Barcelona Visa Debit and Credit cardmembers, Maybank has established a strong connection with football fans in the region. This partnership between FC Barcelona and Maybank is seen as a strategic move to expand the club’s presence in the passionate Asian market and leverage Maybank’s reach to fuel customer excitement.

Juli Guiu, vice-president of FC Barcelona Marketing Area, expressed pride in extending the collaboration with Maybank and providing new services and experiences for fans in Malaysia and Singapore.
