This week’s episode of “Saturday Night Live” featured a star-studded group of veteran hosts welcoming Kristen Wiig into the “Five-Timers Club.” Wiig, a former “SNL” cast member, made her fifth appearance as host, joined by Paul Rudd and other guests who haven’t quite reached the five-time milestone yet.
The episode opened with a sketch parodying March Madness fever, focusing on the women’s tournament. The entire “SNL” cast and guests, including Wiig, were seen sporting Five-Timer Club jackets throughout the night as part of the ongoing joke.
Wiig, who stars in the new Apple TV+ series “Palm Royale” and continues to voice Lucy in “Despicable Me 4,” was joined by musical guest Raye, making her “SNL” debut.
As Wiig joins the list of Season 49 hosts, including previous “SNL” cast members Pete Davidson and Kate McKinnon, the lineup of music guests has also been impressive, featuring artists like Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, and Travis Scott.
Looking ahead, Ryan Gosling is set to host the next episode of “Saturday Night Live” on April 13, with musical guest Chris Stapleton. Stay tuned for more entertaining sketches, musical performances, and celebrity cameos on the iconic late-night show.
