Red Bird Fried Chicken, a popular restaurant known for its delicious fried chicken, is expanding its presence into the Capital Region with a new location in Denham Springs. This will be the third Red Bird Fried Chicken location in Louisiana, with the other two in New Orleans and Covington.
Owned by brothers Blake and Brandon Bennett and their cousin Jay Morris, Red Bird Fried Chicken is a family-oriented business with roots in St. Tammany Parish. The owners are excited about the new location in Denham Springs, citing its proximity to Bass Pro Shops as a key factor in their decision.
The restaurant will be located at 2660 Sac Au Lait Lane, next to Bonta del Forno Ristorante. The space was previously occupied by Fit Blendz Nutrition Cafe, and the owners are currently in the permitting process for renovations. They are aiming for a late spring or early summer opening.
In addition to the new Denham Springs location, the owners have plans to introduce a Red Bird Express concept designed for gas station markets. This concept will make it easier to expand the brand, with the goal of opening three to five express restaurants and an additional store by the end of 2024.
Red Bird Fried Chicken is committed to serving quality food to their customers and recently won the Best Fried Chicken award at the 2023 National Fried Chicken Festival. The new location will offer a drive-thru for convenience, and customers can also opt for pickup or delivery through a delivery service.
The owners of Red Bird Fried Chicken are focused on growing their business in Louisiana and are grateful for the support from their local community. They previously owned Three B’s Burger & Wine Bar in Metairie but decided to close it last year to fully concentrate on the Red Bird Fried Chicken franchise.
