This year’s fellows include Adrian Burrell, an artist from Oakland, California; Tiffany Griffin, the CEO of Bright Black; Sidney McLaurin, Jr., the CEO of Fleet Robotics; John Pasmore, the founder of Latimer.ai; and Dr. Sian Proctor, an astronaut and space artist. These individuals bring a diverse range of expertise and perspectives to the program, embodying the spirit of Lewis Latimer as inventors, storytellers, and creative thinkers.
The fellows will embark on a year-long journey of personal and professional growth, networking with some of the brightest minds in their respective fields. The program is supported by industry leaders like Breakthrough Energy Ventures and VF Corp CEO Bracken Darrell, providing the fellows with mentorship and resources to help them realize their potential.
The Lewis Latimer Fellowship Program aims to foster innovation and collaboration among Black innovators, creating a community of thought leaders who are driving positive change in their industries. The program centers around technology, design thinking, and futurism, encouraging participants to explore new ideas and build solutions that benefit society as a whole.
